Accountancy apprenticeship proves to be formula for success

We’re really proud of Rhys Penny for successfully completing his accountancy apprenticeship with us – taking us one step closer to our goal of supporting 30 apprentices through our business by 2030.

He initially started working for us in 2018 as a temporary customer service advisor after completing his degree in Mathematical & Theoretical Physics. He hit the ground running, soon becoming proficient in all areas of the day-to-day running of the Reading depot. But he had ambitions to achieve more and we were delighted to be able to create an opportunity in our Finance Department at our Head Office and support him through his accountancy apprenticeship.

Rhys is an asset to the team, and we’re pleased to have been able to support him on his career journey over the last seven years.

We continually invest for the future and are proud to be a great place to work for our people, supporting team members like Rhys to reach their full potential. We have lots of exciting opportunities to join the Collard family currently including various HGV driver roles.
