Job Description: Business Analyst

Job Purpose: To interrogate company data and information to produce accurate management information on business performance, trends and analysis.

To maintain company databases, material volumes, and some financial data.

Produce monthly management information to assist the senior management team meetings

Produce quarterly board information to assist the board of Directors meetings and strategic decision making.

Be the conduit between the company and the website/database suppliers and assist in the maintenance and development of web-based information.

Deliver presentations to various stakeholders in relation to reports and information produced

To assist the company in software selection to enable the interface of current databases and SQL/information formats

Communicate and implement standards and work practices to ensure application of company policy and procedures and relevant legislation.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

Sound knowledge, and ability of SQL, and ability to use language/programming to extract and produce information.

Excellent Microsoft package skills, particularly Excel skills (must be an advanced Excel user)

Knowledge of the waste management industry would be a distinct advantage but not essential.

Good interpersonal skills, numerate and ability to deal with people of different skills and abilities

Good spoken and written communication skills

Be an excellent team player, with the ability to work under pressure in a demanding commercial environment
