Demolition case study - Maidenhead

The scope of this project included the demolition of a two storey existing office and warehouse unit plus the grubbing up of associated concrete slab and foundations to a depth of 2 metres. Grubbing up of redundant drainage, clearance of undergrowth, brambles, trees & hedges and licenced asbestos removal within the existing boiler room was also required:

The project comprised of:

  • Establishing welfare facilities
  • Soft stripping to remove false ceilings, non-loadbearing partitioning
  • Removal of fixtures and fittings, floor coverings, M&E installation, demolition of the structure to ground floor slab level, including disposal of all unsuitable materials for recycling
  • Breaking up of ground floor slab and foundations down to 2 metres
  • Crushing of all suitable arisings to a 6F2 grading
  • Stock piling of 6F2 materials for use by others
