We’re always proud to support our local communities, and we recently went one further by opening up our ‘Supporting Your Community Clean-Up’ initiative.
Under the initiative, we contacted local parish councils to offer a free-of-charge community clean up, providing skips, bags, and volunteers to help a parish clear a vital community facility that is in need of some TLC.
After receiving applications from across our regions, our Chilton Recycling Facility opted to support Chilton Parish to tidy up its allotments, supplying skips and a van to clear the area and a large compost heap, helping to create space and improve the area for allotment holders.
Jacquie Berry, Clerk to Chilton Parish Council, said: “Chilton Parish Council are delighted by the support provided by Collard Group under its ‘Supporting your Community Clean-up Initiative’. The village has a set of allotments that needed a major clear-up including the removal of a very substantial, overgrown and compacted compost heap.”
