Here’s some Collard Racing news from two wheels instead of four for a change.
We’re incredibly proud of our Group Transport Director Roddy Taylor who at 59 years young continues to wipe the floor with riders more than half his age.
Recently at the Steve Henshaw Gold Cup international road race at Oliver’s Mount circuit he took on 65 of the world’s best road racers in damp and slippery conditions. Only 23 riders secured a race place from qualifying, and Roddy made the top 10, finishing 5th overall. Incredible! His Collard Group sponsored Kawasaki ER650 ran faultlessly all weekend and was one of the fastest through the speed traps against full factory machinery.
A life-long biker Roddy has concentrated on pure road races this year; a big change from winning the Super Twins Championship last year on circuits like Brands Hatch and Donington. He’s got his sights on the infamous Isle of Man race next year and he’s got our backing. Well done and good luck, Roddy!
