Charity and community news - February 2020

Date: 18/02/2020
  • We were happy to support staff members Kelly Barton, Rhys Penny, Mary Kinsella and Shelley Baxter who took part in a charity pancake race on the 25th February 2020 at Broad Street Mall in Reading, to raise money for local charity Launchpad.

Launchpad is Reading's leading homelessness prevention charity, providing vital information and support for individuals, couples and families who don't have a stable place to live or are at risk of losing their home. The charity are currently raising money for a new Work and Life Skills centre for the homeless and vulnerable.

It was a fabulous event to take part in with a brilliant atmosphere from the local community and although the team didn't win the race, we were extremely proud to win 'Best fancy dress' for our novel costumes of skips, lorries and grab bags!

So far the team have raised an amazing £500 for Launchpad. If you would like to sponsor our pancake racing efforts please visit our justgiving page.
