Charity and community news - November 2018

We were pleased to receive a note of thanks from Jon Last, Vice Chairman of Eversley Cricket club who wrote to thank R Collard for supporting their recent auction which raised over £1500 towards improvements to the club house and facilities for next season. Eversley Cricket Club has a total membership of 260+ cricketers drawn from Eversley and its neighbouring villages so the grounds are well used.
We are pleased to continue our support of local charities and were happy to help out at the Annual Yateley Fireworks Fiesta at Westfields School which this year was held on Saturday 3rd November.
We are sponsoring one of our drivers, Martyn Humphreys ‘Stick’, who is putting a team together to compete in the Screwball Rally next year. Martyn is hoping to raise funds for the Marshalls Fund at Thruxton Race Circuit. Please help to support this worthwhile cause at Martyn's JustGiving page.
We were happy to pledge our support to the Charles Kingsley 200 Festival which will be held next year on Friday June 14 and Saturday June 15 at The Mount, Church Road, Eversley. The festival’s aim is to celebrate the life and work of Charles Kingsley who lived and worked in the village.
We continue to support Fleet Town FC who are proud to display R Collard advertising boards at their ground.
We are also proud sponsors of Aldershot FC who play in the Vanarama National League.
