Collard Racing news - May 2019
Date: 17/05/2019
Rob Collard had a successful weekend in the BTCC at Donington Park on the 27th and 28th April with three top ten finishes including a podium for P2 in race three. Rob commented “I think we had the quickest car with the fastest lap in the race, its great to be back on the podium and within touching distance of a race win”.
Rob also had solid finishes in races one and two at Thruxton on the 18th and 19th May but had a spin in race three dropping him to last place but he battled back to P14, scoring points in all three races.
Next race date: 15-16 June, Croft, Yorkshire.
Ricky Collard made a fantastic debut at Brands Hatch on the 4th and 5th
May in the Blanc Pain Sprint Challenge. Running at the front in the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, Ricky eventually finished 7
th
in race one and 5
th
in race two.
Next race date: 28-30 June, Misano, Italy for World Challenge Europe.
Jordan Collard made his debut at Oulton Park last month in the GT British Championship and was robbed of a podium place podium on the last lap of race one and had to retire. In race two Jordan and his teammate drove extremely well and were unfortunate not to finish higher than 5
th
due to a pit stop strategy under the safety car which cost them a podium finish. Jordan fared much better at Snetterton on the 18th and 19th May with a third place in race one followed up with a win in race two. This sets him up nicely in P2 of the championship. Jordan continues his driver development program with McLaren and has a trip to Spa in the coming weeks.
Next race date: 8-9 June at Silverstone.
