Contracting News - November 2020

Date: 16/11/2020

The Contracting Division took the decision to further improve business efficiencies with the introduction of a new management software system back in late 2018. This is now fully implemented allowing us to improve the way we run our projects, creating significant time and cost efficiencies for all our clients.

Following software installation last year full training took place for all our employees for this new system that is now embedded within the business. Our employees are able to access the system from whatever device they are using, enabling them to view all the documents that are relevant to their project(s) including contract terms, drawings and specifications. This has also reduced the need to carry hard copies of such information with other project documentation such as training certificates, timesheets, inspections and daily diaries also saved, completed online and viewed by all managers at the click of a button.

The new software also allows the project team to file and view all email communications within the project they are working on meaning that all colleagues have access to all the emails at one time. It's compatibility with our accounts software also means that managers can have ‘dashboards’ on their device that provide an ‘at a glance’ financial summary of their projects.

With access to all our project data online we can now view the required documents quickly and easily with timesheets being submitted electronically a major development. These improvements to information management and invoicing as part of the new system allow us to provide the best possible quotations and service to our contracting clients.
