Demolition news - July 2018

Date: 12/07/2018

Another busy month for the demolition team with awards and recommendations for the team's efforts - Great work!

  • We will be taking down a building in High Wycombe which is going to be replaced with a new housing development. R Collard Ltd will be stripping out the building, removing asbestos and completing the demolition of the structure. The £100k project will be completed within a period of eight weeks.
  • One of our projects for a major confectionery manufacturer in Slough with a contract value of over half a million will shortly be coming to an end after several months on site. It has been an extremely challenging project that involved working immediately adjacent to a production facility that continued to operate. As a result of lack of space it was necessary for us to create temporary accommodation within an existing building.
  • After negotiating some further work at our project to demolish the old Everards Brewery in Leicester the project is due to be completed in August.
  • Well done to Jason Knee, one of our Supervisors, who won the Monthly Stop and Go Award at our Romsey site for the months of May and June. Jason was nominated by the Site Manager Wayne Smith for his excellent attitude and approach to his work whilst backfilling the former Swimming Pool. Wayne Smith said 'Please give Jason a pat on the back for his work with us on site. It’s not often as Site Managers that we get to see Supervisors of Jason’s quality, and I felt that it was worth sending a note of appreciation from us for all his efforts at Audley Romsey.'
  • We were very pleased to receive this fantastic recommendation from Richard Cairns at Cisco also; ‘Your team that did the job were just brilliant, very helpful clean and very tidy whilst the job was underway. I hope Robert is proud of the wonderful team, I will be recommending your company to other people I know.'

  • A brand new Premiertrak R400X crusher was delivered to the Former Everards Brewery for our Leicester Contract on 2nd July. The crusher has been put into Leicester to increase our capacity to crush the concrete warehouse slabs which forms a very sizable extension to the original contract.
