Demolition news - June 2018

Date: 13/06/2018
  • Our MD Robert Collard completed his CPCS D90 NVQ at Greenford which will allow him to use an excavator for demolition.

  • The turnover of the Demolition Department in the first few months of 2018 has been exceptional and new work has recently started, or is imminent, in Addlestone, Fleet, Hambledon, High Wycombe, Liss, Reading, Slough Watford, Wokingham and Yateley. One of the new projects is the demolition of Hart Leisure Centre following the opening of the new leisure centre in 2017.

  • There is less than 3 months of the12 month contract to go at the former Glaxo Smith Kline Head Office in Greenford, Middlesex. We are still on target to meet the completion date and that will include various additional works. The contractors who have been contracted by our client to undertake the construction work of the first block of apartments employed us to carry out a two hundred thousand pound earth moving project to form a piling mat. This was successfully completed in June within a four week period.

  • We are several weeks into a contract to demolish Wokingham Superbowl. Many people will have enjoyed tenpin bowling, Laserquest and American pool before everything moved to brand new premises in November 2017. It is all part of Wokingham Borough Council’s plans to redevelop the town centre.
