ISO 45001 in sight

Date: 15/10/2019

We have recently been recommended for a successful migration to BS ISO 45001-2018 via Alcumus ISOQAR. This is possibly a first for any specialist demolition and waste management company so it is a tremendous achievement.

ISO 45001 is an international standard for occupational health & safety, gradually replacing the outgoing BS OHSAS 18001 (2007) standard. To demonstrate our continued commitment to health & safety but also environmental awareness (ISO 14001) and quality management (ISO 9001), we have decided to integrate all three standards as soon as possible, rather than waiting until it becomes mandatory to transition from the older certified systems.

Head of Health and Safety, Chris Walsh said “Our operations are led by our management systems, so it makes sense to do this as soon as possible. It allows the company to operate consistently and with a good degree of transparency. This means that any company, employee or customer wishing to engage with us can see automatically that our operations are harmonised to a globally recognised standard.”

Chris also states “I am very proud to have achieved this ISO Standard, as it clearly defines our intentions. And when you consider that our logistics team is also accredited to FORS Gold, you can’t help but agree that we are certainly pushing in the right direction.”
