January demolition update

Date: 16/01/2018

The latter part of 2017 proved to be one of the busiest periods ever for the demolition department and the outlook for the first part of 2018 looks to be similar. The demolition of the former GSK (Glaxo Smith Kline) offices in Greenford provides a good contribution to turnover and will continue to do so until the Summer. New work, with total contract values of approximately £2 million, has already been won. We are also confident about several others that are set to boost recent work won to approximately £5 million in value.

Our current demolition workload includes the demolition of a former school and residential development and for the first time we are knocking down a church to make way for community re-development. We are about to start the partial demolition of a structure in Slough where we will be demolishing a large steel frame building which is adjacent to a building that is currently producing food. This all contributes to a very mixed range of demolition activity across the whole of the South East with seven current jobs inside the M25.
