Our Employees in 2019

Date: 16/12/2019

Investment in our people

We were proud and delighted to welcome 80 new colleagues to our team following our recent acquisition of Raymond Brown Waste Solutions, now bringing our headcount to 400 employees.

Professional development
  • As a major local employer, the company invests heavily in our people through local apprenticeship schemes, skills training and the continuous professional development of its staff.
Supporting our staff
  • We have continued our support of our employees in various motorcycle racing championships and charity driving events including Roddy Taylor our Transport Manager who finished 5th in the Super Twins GP2 Championship. Roddy also finished 5th at Oliver’s Mount in Scarborough which is a pure road race against some of the best in the world. We also support Paul Williams who won the Mid Sussex Moto Cross Championship and Martyn Humphries who completed the Screwball Rally in September this year.
Staff charity events
  • We have recently supported the annual Movember charity campaign with members of staff ‘Growing a mo to save a bro’ for the men’s health charity. We held a Macmillan coffee morning to raise money for cancer support and supported Mental Health Awareness Day in October2019. We are also raising money this month for Save the Children by joining in with their Christmas Jumper Day. Well done to everyone for their efforts during 2019.
Social events
  • We continue to give something back to our staff with a well-attended bonfire and firework night for all employees and their families in November and with Christmas parties over the festive season at the Elvetham Hotel and Toby Carvery.
