Our asbestos licence has recently been renewed for another three years by The Asbestos Licensing Unit (ALU), allowing us to continue solving asbestos-related building challenges for our customers through our acquisition of specialist firm, Amiante STR.
The licence acts as our ‘permit to work’ with asbestos, and is necessary due to the known serious risks of exposure to asbestos. As a result, holding a licence incurs serious responsibilities for us here at Collard Group. We are a fully licensed asbestos contractor, meaning we can offer a ‘one-stop-shop’ service to manage and remediate a full suite of hazardous materials expertly and in line with current legislation and approved codes of practice.
The renewal of our licence demonstrates our in-house team’s skills, competency, expertise, knowledge and experience of work with asbestos, as well as our exceptionally high health and safety standards. Applying for a licence requires thorough preparation, including demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement, organisational and individual competence, extensive knowledge of the asbestos industry, accountability, and effective health and safety management systems including record keeping.
Thank you to all of our team involved within the Amiante STR business over the past three years, who played an instrumental role in the renewal of our licence.
