Keeping our HGV drivers fully trained is an important part of this commitment, so we’re delighted that the team recently took part in two training sessions.
Our HGV drivers brushed up on their awareness skills as part of the FORS Professional Safe Driving Course. This two-and-a-half day training course teaches theory and puts the drivers in the position of vulnerable road users such as cyclists, providing a valuable insight and highlighting the importance of safe driving. The course provides information on regulatory responsibilities and other crucial topics that affect road safety.
The team also enjoyed a session from Volvo UK’s training and product expert, which explored how to get the best out of our fleet of lorries. The training session covered a variety of topics including how to reduce fuel consumption, whole life running costs, the latest upgrades, and driver aids.
