This month we’ve lent our support to a volunteer day garden clean-up and played our part in the forthcoming Trunks across the Thames art trail for Thames Hospice.
We’re a logistics partner for the Trunks Across the Thames Trail, which once open in July, will feature a herd of 30 beautifully-designed giant elephant sculptures along the Thames. The special project aims to bring communities together across the Thames to raise awareness and vital funds for Thames Hospice and it’s a real privilege to be part of such a meaningful initiative.
Claudia Horwood, Business Development and Marketing Coordinator and Sam Tunnicliff, Contracts Manager, got involved by helping to map out locations for the sculptures and they both fully embraced the role of ‘elephant stand-ins’! They went the extra mile – walking over 22,000 steps clocking up more than 16km across Slough, Eton and Windsor carrying makeshift plinths – it’s all in a day’s work for our team.
We’ve also recently provided a complimentary skip for a volunteer day in Henley-on-Thames organised by Invesco, which is based in the town, as part of its Invesco Cares Foundation. Volunteers from Invesco joined forces with local charity NOMAD Youth & Community project, which provides support at grass roots level for those facing challenging situations in their lives. Together the team completed a major garden clearance for a local resident.
