Our business was founded in 1994 but our history in the waste sector stretches back generations. We’re proud of our heritage and excited for our future; driven by a passion to continue to lead the way in demolition and waste.
1930s
Frederick Collard (Robert’s Grandfather) Starts a food waste collection business in Eversley, Hampshire
1970s
Michael Collard (Robert’s father) runs a landfill site at Eversley. Robert begins working for his father in the late 1970’s
1980s
Michael starts a waste collection business: M Collard Ltd
1992
Robert starts RJC Services; a sole trader providing mobile plant repairs
1994
Robert Establishes R Collard Ltd, purchases his first lorry and digger and completes his first major demolition job for Bloor Homes
1995
We buy our first brand new lorries: two eight-wheel tippers
1998
We sign a lease for a small corner of Eversley Haulage Park
2000
We win our first £1m demolition project. The Sun Printing Works at Watford
2003
We buy our first waste plant and enter the skip hire market.
2005
Our Aldershot recycling site opens.
2010
We become members of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors
2016
Robert’s father retires and we purchase his business, M Collard Ltd, and the Reading Recycling Facility
2017

We win demolition contract of the year at the British Demolition Awards New £1m state-of-the-art concrete plant opened
2019
Our ready mix concrete gets the BSI Kitemark We acquire Raymond Brown Waste Solutions with three additional recycling facilities We hit £50m turnover
2020
We launch our four new divisions with a refreshed brand: contracting, environmental, aggregates and ready mix concrete. Our new fixed line crushing plant is operational in Eversley
2021
We get a double win at the National Recycling Awards New recycling plants acquired for Nursling, Chilton and Ewshot
2022
Multi-Million pound investment in Reading, Southampton and Andover recycling facilities We acquire Amiante STR, bolstering our asbestos capabilities
