We’re proud of Roddy Taylor, our group transport director who is a finalist for the prestigious Fleet Transport Manager of the Year accolade at the Fleet News Awards 2024.
The judges are looking for someone with their finger on the pulse and an excellent knowledge of not only their fleet but all the factors that influence it. Roddy, who has been part of the Collard team for almost 10 years, has a relentless passion for efficiency, safety, environment and driver satisfaction and has an inclusive approach to fleet management. He oversees our multiple in-house vehicle workshops, maintaining our 150 lorries and countless other vehicles, 24/7.
The Scotsman sums up his no nonsense and practical view of his role, saying:
“Skips, tippers and RoRos are often classed as the bottom feeders of the transport world. At Collard we’re changing this perception by training and developing a professional team in multiple areas of the business so that we’re not just meeting industry standards but setting the bar. We’re also investing in the future by nurturing young talent.”
