Helping our community in Ascot

During our works at Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot, we got busy getting involved with the local community.

We ran an exciting colouring competition for the pupils of Story Book Montessori nursery, located adjacent to our works, to ease any fears previously held by both the students and teachers, as well as introducing our friendly team and showing them a glimpse of some of our vehicles. We even provided goody bags, and the winner took home a Lego Duplo construction set.

Mary Brosnan, founder and owner of the nursery commented, “I think the visit and colouring competition were a fantastic idea. We got to appreciate the scale and size of the project next door and got an insight into how professionally the site is managed and run which helped to ease any concerns that the teaching team had about being located so close to a demolition site. It was brilliant to understand and engage with what is happening in our local community and knowing how busy you all must be, it was really above and beyond. The visit has been beneficial for Preschool as now they better understand what is happening and as a result, are excited by the machinery instead of being fearful of it. They loved seeing the diggers in action, and the “T Rex digger” and receiving the amazing goody bags.”
