Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales Executive

  • Maximising the utilisation of the mixer fleet, and providing exceptional customer service to all concrete customers
  • To sell the companies range of RMC and concrete products to a range of customers, and provide outstanding customer service to all concrete customers
  • Providing technical advice and support to internal and external customers for the Ready Mixed Concrete business
  • Maintaining and issuing all mix design data for internal use and issuing mix design certificates to customers
  • Maintaining all records and processes for compliance to BSI for Ready Mixed Concrete
  • Managing and motivating teams, setting clear expectations and ensuring feedback on individual performance is provided both informally and formally where required.
  • Ensuring appropriate reports are accurate and produced for line management, for example lorry earnings, concrete mix costs
  • To deliver excellent service to both internal and external customers, by being the first point of contact for many of the R Collard customer base.
  • Adding customer orders and details onto our sales and transport operations system accurately with all relevant details in a timely manner.
  • Administration of drivers pay/holiday/sickness using Realtime, Iris & Tachomaster ensuring this information is passed to payroll weekly.

Skills / Competencies

  • Experience in a similar role in site management within the RMC sector
  • Sound knowledge of sales and managing a sale territory preferably within the ready-mix concrete environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills at all levels with the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to effectively utilise a range of software including the MS office suite, finance and sales order processing systems.
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Concrete technology parts 1 and 2 (desirable)
