Collard Environmental secured the waste management contract for the construction of an extra care sheltered housing development in the centre of Winchester to provide a contemporary styled home for older residents.
The development comprises 52 self-contained apartments on the upper floors with communal lounge, cafeteria and other ancillary facilities for residents on the ground floor.
Galliford Try were looking for a local waste management company who could segregate the waste onsite within the busy city centre and efficiently and safely remove it. Maximising the recycling rates of all waste was a key priority and we achieved a recycling rate of 96.13%.
