Demolition news - October 2019

St Catherine's School
We received grateful thanks from our client at St Catherine's School in Guildford with particular mention to Sam Tunnicliff, one of our demolition supervisors:
“I wanted to drop you a quick line to thank you for all you’ve done for us at St Catherine's while you’ve been here. We really appreciated your ‘can do’ attitude!"

Basing View
Also, thanks were received from a grateful member of the public at our Basing View site in Basingstoke: “Just a short note to say that I've noticed how well organised the Basing View, Basingstoke site team are. I work next to the site and have noticed that they are great at checking for traffic when entering and exiting the site. They are also doing a good job hosing away any mud from the surrounding area and turning away the hosepipe when anyone walks past so we don't get wet. Keep up the good work."

Fosse Park
Our work usually takes place at the beginning of a construction project, therefore it was interesting to hear from the project manager on one scheme to see how the development has progressed since we left. We had demolished the former Everards brewery in Leicester back in early 2018 and construction of the new buildings is now well underway with the two photographs to the right showing the original brewery and the progress that has being made on the new buildings. Thanks to our specialist demolition in Leicester, the Fosse Park development was able to continue on-time and on-budget! This development scheme is an expansion of the Fosse Park out of town shopping centre that will cost in the region of £135m. Debenhams, TK Maxx and Next will all have stores at the completed development. Fosse Park is already one of the UK’s most successful shopping parks with 10 million visitors a year.
