Waste solution for new vaccine centre

Date: 15/06/2020

We are pleased to announce that as part of the Collard Group, Raymond Brown Waste Solutions (RBWS) have secured a new contract to supply a full waste solution to Harwell Campus in Oxfordshire, where a new Vaccines Manufacturing and Innovation Centre (VMIC) is being built.

The £65m build will include office accommodation and laboratories to form the country’s first bespoke strategic vaccine development and manufacturing capability. Completion was initially scheduled for 2022 but due to it being a major site in producing vaccines for the COVID-19 pandemic, the build has been brought forward to June 2021.

We will be offering a full waste solution to our client with an estimated recycling spend in the region of £100,000. This will include the supply of a range of skips, roro’s and grab’s for construction waste at this site. Our client will also benefit from monthly waste reports, access to our cloud based portal and email alerts for delivery/collection and waste transfer notes.

This new waste management contract was secured off the back of another successful waste management RBWS project in Andover as part of the rebuild of the Ocado warehouse that was destroyed by fire in February 2019.
