The overall aim for this project was the development of the existing Masters and Boarding House into a Sixth Form Facility, changing areas and teaching accommodation located within the centre of the Leighton Park School campus.
This phase of the enabling works comprised of the demolition of 2 buildings; a single storey extension and a 1960 style building.
In addition to this, the works included internal removals and strip-out of the existing areas of Grove House. External works included circular staircases and site clearance.
To prevent structural damage to an jointing building, part of the demolition works had to be carried out manually, splitting away structurally by hand in two parts of the building
